ANNA ROGAKOU
DIRECTOR AND DRAMATHERAPIST
ABOUT
Anna graduated from The University of Kent with a BA in Theatre Studies and Performance (4 years- with the final year as a semi-professional year in Directing) in 2002. She later trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Classical Acting. In 2005 she became part of the Velocet Company working with the Playwright and Director Adam Brace.
In 2009 she was awarded her MA in Dramatherapy from Roehampton University, after which she went on to work with Roundabout, working mostly with children and young adults with special needs and those on the autistic spectrum.
For the last 8 years Anna has worked exclusively with young people encouraging them to create professional levels of performance and productions within a school environment. She continues her work as a Dramatherapist within schools in Greece.

Anna is currently the Head of Drama and Dramatherapy at a top International School in Athens, Greece. She teaches Drama in the Middle school and Theatre on the IB Programme, and is the in-house Director for all the shows, musicals and plays that Senior School performs. The school is renowned within Greece for its passion for the Arts and is well-known for its Drama department.
Working in Education as a Director, Anna has had to hone her skills in choreography, lighting, set and costume design and has learnt more than she ever possibly imagined and enjoys the energy (and challenge) that young performers bring to the rehearsal room.
